The Mean singer, 22, sparkled in a nude and metallic gold silk sequin cap-sleeved Zuhair Muard Fall 2011 Couture floor length mermaid gown with a high neckline, intricate hand-embroidered gold and rose-gold beading, sheer skirt and flowing train. The haute couture dress was accessorized with gold Neil Lane earrings and cocktail ring, gold metallic Prada sandals, a polished ballerina bun and neutral makeup.
Earlier in the evening, Taylor picked up the awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Mean”. She was also nominated for Best Country Album for Speak Now, but lost out to Lady Antebellum‘s Own The Night.
The Grammy Awards 2012 stirred up a mix of emotions on Sunday evening. The music world took a moment to remember the loss of their ‘fallen sister’, Whitney Houston.
The annual ceremony started off on a somber note as the evening’s host, LL Cool J, asked the celebrity packed audience to acknowledge the death of the singer, Whitney Houston, that died at 48-years-old. Rather than seeing the passing of the star as an opportunity to mourn, the Grammy Awards was a celebration of the singer’s achievements.
