Leighton Meester posed for photographers on the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala Ball, also known as the night of 1,000 dresses, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 7, 2012) in New York City.  This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition.

The 26-year-old Gossip Girl actress, who was the guest of fashion house Marchesa, donned a short sleeved gold appliqué lace and nude tulle Marchesa Fall 2012 collection evening gown.  The beautiful floor length dress was accessorized with gold and diamond Harry Winston bracelets and matching cocktail ring, gold embroidered Marchesa minaudière clutch and nude Tabitha Simmons ‘Dee’ strappy platform sandals.

Leighton Meester was photographed as she filmed a scene for her CW network show ‘Gossip Girl’ episode #5.21 titled ‘Despicable B’.

The 26-year-old Gossip Girls actress, who play Blair Waldorf on the show, wore a sleeveless midnight blue embroidered tulle Elie Saab haute couture Fall 2011 collection evening gown with an embellished waist and a plunging neckline.  The floor length dress was accessorized with a statement necklace and glittering dark Kara Ross ‘Prunella’ envelope clutch.

The 26-year-old Gossip Girls actress wore an off-the-shoulder lace embroidered Marchesa Fall 2011 Bridal collection cocktail little black dress with a grograin waist and voluminous tulle layered skirt.  The knee length LBD dress was accessorized with platinum Harry Winston jewels which included diamond River earrings, a diamond Straight Line necklace, a diamond cluster bracelet and a Feather cluster ring and black satin Christian Louboutin ‘Ole Ole’ ankle-strap platform pumps.

Leighton Meester in LV – amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2012 Fashion Week

The 26-year-old Gossip Girl actress wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton in a sleeveless black v-neck Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012 cocktail mini little black dress with a thin leather bow strap belt at the waist and two large furry panel pockets on the skirt.  The sexy short LBD frock was accessorized with Resort 2012 collection accessories in a black knee length Pre-Fall collection coat, a dark grey LV ‘Varennes’ sequined trésor minaudière clutch bag and black ankle-strap pumps with a chunky heel.

The gala helped raise funds for amfAR, which is dedicated to the support of HIV/AIDS research, and also kicked off 2012 New York Fashion Week.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively was spotted on set with co-star Leighton Meester on their outdoor New York City set Wednesday (December 14).  Blake was in a black coat, blue scarf, black tights, black knee high platform stiletto boots and black purse with brown and blue trims.
