The British actress wore a one shoulder high neck collar fuchsia red Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 floor length belted gown. Blunt paired the look with Neil Lane jewels, a black Just Fabulous statement clutch bag and an asymmetrical updo hairstyle to match her the asymmetrical shoulders on her dress.

First Lady Michelle Obama join the U.S. Commander-in-Chief in jump starting the celebration by welcoming honorees Meryl Streep, Barbara Cook, Neil Diamond, Sonny Rollins and Yo-Yo Ma to a reception in the East Room of the White House before heading over to the Kennedy Center Hall of States. Michelle wore a lovely strapless cobalt blue floor length Vera Wang gown. The dress was paired with Miguel Ases earrings.
