Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli – amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2012 Fashion Week

American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson and designer Roberto Cavalli posed for photographers on the red carpet at the 2012 amfAR New York Gala held at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday (February 8) in New York City.

The 30-year-old Dreamgirls actress wore a sleeveless taupe sequined metallic Roberto Cavalli evening gown with a thigh-high split, a plunging v-neck neckline and a gold embellished bodice.  The floor length dress was accessorized with multiple stacked statement diamond bangle bracelets and gold strappy sandals.

The gala helped raise funds for amfAR, which is dedicated to the support of HIV/AIDS research, and also kicked off 2012 New York Fashion Week.
